Job Summary

Wolfson Children's Hospital is currently looking to add a Pediatric CFY Speech Therapist Intern to our Acute Care Rehab Team in downtown Jacksonville, FL. This is a part-time position working 24 hours per week Monday - Friday.

CFY Speech Therapist Intern, Pediatric Acute Care Rehab, Job Responsibilities: 

  • Evaluates, diagnoses, develops and implements a treatment plan for outpatients under the direct supervision of the Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Provides extensive patient/family education.
  • Participates in multidisciplinary team care with other rehab professionals, nursing, physicians, dietitians, social services, respiratory, support staff, etc.
  • Works in a fast-paced setting requiring good time management, detailed documentation skills in the EMR, self-directed, and effective communication skills.

  • Experience working in an Acute Care setting preferred
  • Dysphagia Experience preferred
  • Experience with Modified Barium Swallow Studies preferred
  • Speech/Language Experience preferred
  • Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Experience preferred
  • Medical Surgical Experience preferred
  • Critical Care Experience preferred

License and Certification

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Licensed Speech Language Pathologist Required
