Advocating for children is the most important part of our mission. Through THE PLAYERS Center for Child Health at Wolfson Children’s, we reach beyond the walls of the hospital to promote safe and healthy childhoods for all kids in our region.

Jacob Speaks for Kids

After representing Wolfson Children’s Hospital at Family Advocacy Days in 2016, patient Jacob Lopez and his family were asked to participate in the Children’s Hospital Association Annual Leadership Conference.

Representing other children who rely on children’s hospitals for their complex medical care, Jacob encouraged attendees to get involved with Speak Now for Kids, an advocacy tool designed to raise awareness of the unique challenge children face in our changing health care system.
