Wolfson Children’s Hospital names local pediatrician to its Board of Directors
Anne Egan, MD, with The Carithers Pediatric Group begins term on Board in April 2023.

Wolfson Children’s Hospital has named community pediatrician Anne Egan, MD, to its Board of Directors. Dr. Egan will begin her three-year term in April 2023.
Dr. Egan, a board-certified pediatrician who has been with The Carithers Pediatric Group since October 2003, has served children and families for more than 28 years throughout her career.
Dr. Egan received her undergraduate degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was a Morehead Scholar. She received her medical degree from the Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut, and completed her internship and residency in pediatrics at the UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania.
An Ortega resident, Dr. Egan currently serves on the boards of the University of North Florida and the Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens. She has also served on the boards of the Jacksonville Children’s Commission, Inc.; Jacksonville Community Council, Inc.; PACE Center for Girls, Inc.; and St. Mark’s Episcopal Day School.
Before moving to Jacksonville, Dr. Egan practiced for eight years with Allegheny Pediatrics in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and served as an associate clinical professor of pediatrics for the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
