From the Doctor
I moved to North Florida from Detroit with my husband in May of 2021. Our children are grown, so we now spend time being kids ourselves, going to Disney, enjoying music and basking in the Florida weather.
My motto is “an informed patient is a happy patient.” That’s how I have practiced for almost 20 years and I use that care model to educate my patients and their families on every aspect of their health and well-being. No matter where I find myself in medicine, the education of my clients, their families and my peers is as important as the care I provide.
I have spent time taking part in community events for the American Heart Association, heart disease in women, Lou Gehrig’s disease, women’s issues, the LGBTQ community, and for mental health awareness. The struggles of these groups have touched my life personally and it is my small way of supporting the people I love while helping the people around me.
