From the Doctor
My husband and I moved to Jacksonville in the summer of 2015 with our four children, ages 4 to 11. I recognize that children are a unique patient population and I cherish the long-term relationships I have with them and their families. Although I’m an expert in pediatric medicine, I consider parents to be the real experts, when it comes to their own children.
I have an interest in childhood obesity and the multifactorial factors that contribute to it, having written and presented lectures on the subject. I’m also passionate about volunteering with the Girls on the Run, a non-profit organization which uses running as inspiration and motivation to help young girls commit to lifelong health and fitness.
In my personal time, I enjoy running, having completed several half-marathons, and the annual Gate River Run. I also love to cook and hunt for shark’s teeth at the beach.
