From the Doctor
My philosophy of care is based on the belief that every individual is unique and deserves to be heard. I believe that strong therapeutic relationships that are embedded in empathic and nonjudgmental listening, collaboration and partnership, sound clinical knowledge, and transparency are the cornerstone of good clinical care. As a psychiatrist, I draw inspiration from the works of Adolf Meyer, and strive to understand the individual as a whole in order to bring about change and improvement. I think that there's no health without mental health, and therefore, it is important on every level to bring about greater awareness of mental health, and work towards reducing stigma.
During my childhood in southern India, I only knew of of two seasons: summer and the monsoons. I have discovered that Jacksonville offers similar weather conditions, and makes me feel right at home . I love exploring nature and national parks with my husband and two daughters, catching up with friends, trying a new recipe, listening to a good podcast, and photography.
